The customer receives a receipt which can be printed at the end of the transaction and receives an emailed copy. The top portion of the receipt is designed to be used for admittance and placed on the vehicle's dashboard after being scanned, the bottom portion is the customer's receipt with the transaction information.
When the staff scans the bar code, the system verifies the transaction number, updates the system with the date and time the customer arrives and marks the transaction number as used. Duplicate receipts or altered transaction numbers are stopped prior to entering. The staff can also retrieve the transaction by the customer's last name or billing address if the customer fails to bring the receipt.
Not all locations are going to have the equipment or the ability to scan a bar code, then its back to the pencil and paper. The system produces a Check In report by date and facility in the customer's last name order. The staff simply enters the time the customer arrives on the Check In report. The staff can verify the transaction number and billing address.
